Aboriginal guides explore Kuku Yalanji country, the only place where two world heritage sites meet, the Daintree Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef and share the cultural connection the people have with their land.
Learn about the environment, different bush foods and medicines. Sample some seasonal bush tucker while appreciating the history, culture and traditions of our Australian Aboriginal people.
In order to provide more personalised tours, we operate each tour with a minimum of 2 passengers and a maximum of 11 passengers.

Participants: Minimum of two (2) passengers NB will operate the tour for 1 passenger at 2 persons rate. Maximum of eleven (11) passengers NB for larger groups, please enquire directly.

Location: Walkabout Cultural Adventures (WCA) operates in the traditional lands of the Kuku Yalanji people, which extends from Port Douglas to Cooktown. Tours primarily visit Mossman Gorge and Daintree on a Ngana Julaymba Dungay. Daintree and Cape Tribulation on a Ngana Kulkinga Dungay.
Payment: All bookings are preferred to be pre-paid at the time of booking, any clients who have agreed credit, will be invoiced to the Booking Company and all invoices are payable at 7 days unless agreed by both parties. Payment received later than the nominated payment period may incur interest.
Cancellations:
Shared Charter: any bookings cancelled four (4) days of booking date, will incur a 50% cancellation fee. Any bookings cancelled within two (2) day of booking date, and including any no shows will incur a 100% cancellation fee.
Private Charter: any bookings cancelled within seven (7) days of booking date, will incur a 50% cancellation fee. Any bookings cancelled within four (4) days of booking date, and including any no shows will incur a 100% cancellation fee. No refund can be given for any unused services or early departures. All bookings made by an agent must be cancelled by your booking agent. An
administration fee may apply to cancellations. Should a booking include any external operator inclusions, cancellation fees are in line with the external operators’ cancellations policy and an administration fee may be applicable to components that WCA is liable for. We encourage our customers to purchase travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances. For no shows full cancellation applies and will be billed to the Booking Agent/ Guest. If any of the
afore mentioned conditions are not met, WCA reserves the right to release all bookings.
Special Note: All rates are subject to increase in the case of Government levies, taxation or in line with external operator charges. All rates are inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (G.S.T.)
Weather Policy: No responsibility will be accepted for adverse weather conditions. Due to weather conditions and unforeseen circumstances, the operator reserves the right to alter the itinerary or cancel the tour.
Children Policy: Children are welcome to participate under supervision of a Parent/Guardian. WCA accepts no responsibility for the supervision of children. Children are charged at Adult prices.
Disclaimer: Parents must accept all responsibilities for their child(ren). The tours are conducted in the fragile rainforest and coastal environment and children do need to be supervised. WCA has preset Terms & Conditions of Tours and these must be adhered to by the Booking Office and Individuals whilst on tour.
