Location: Mena Creek

Paronella Park was constructed by Jose Paronella who arrived from Spain and stumbled upon this rainforest in Mena Creek. He constructed a house, a castle, a staircase and a movie theatre. In 1935, the Park officially opened to the public for movie nights in the theatre and parties in the main hall. The Park suffered much damage during natural disasters over the years before finally being purchased by Mark and Judy Evans in 1993 (the current owners). They set to work to reconstruct the Park to reopen it to the public and celebrate Jose’s dream once again.
